Alexander Hawkins - piano, John Edwards - bass, Harris Eisenstadt - drums, compositions

This trio is convened by New York-based Canadian drummer, Harris Eisenstadt. Widely regarded as "one of the current generation's leading composers" (Troy Collins, Point of Departure), Eisenstadt's critically acclaimed output as bandleader can be heard on labels such as Songlines, Clean Feed, and 482 Music. Alongside his standout work as one of the most interesting drummer-composers on the scene, his deftness of touch and sheer range have seen him appear alongside musicians including Sam Rivers, Ellery Eskelin, Nate Wooley.

He is joined by two of the UK's finest and most in-demand instrumentalists. On double bass is John Edwards; a musician who has expanded and redefined the possibilities of his instrument - making him a frequent collaborator with countless world-renowned musicians, including the likes of Evan Parker and Roscoe Mitchell. On piano is Alexander Hawkins, a collaborator with Eisenstadt in the transatlantic Convergence Quartet, and who has been said to be "unlike anything else in modern creative music" (Clifford Allen) and to have reached "a dazzling new apex" (Downbeat) with his recent work.

The trio will perform Eisenstadt's compositions, along with group improvisations.
