Event 49: Student Showcase

Date
Date
Saturday 3 May 2014, 7.30pm - 9.30pm

The first half of this concert presents a collaborative composition by two final year students for an applied project exploring the use of rhythm around the world. The piece takes the ensemble through Asia, Africa and Latin America comparing some of the world's most contrasting approaches to rhythm and combining them to form a very unique composition.

In the second half of the concert The Clothworkers Brass Ensemble will perform a dazzling array of repertoire including works by composer ranging from Michael Kamen to George Gershwin.
