"Same Moon in the Same World" is a collaborative project co-led by guitarist Ant Law and tenor saxophonist Alex Hitchcock. Musical direction is split between them and both contribute compositions to this programme.
British guitarist Ant is “a game changer” and "an innovator" according to The Guardian. He lives in London and leads his own quintet. His 4th album ‘The Sleeper Wakes’ (Edition Records) was released in 2020. He uses the unique Perfect 4ths tuning system and is in high demand as a sideman. Alongside his own projects he can be heard most frequently with Trio HLK and with Tim Garland.
Alex Hitchcock is one of the most prolific young artists in London and a ferocious virtuoso on tenor saxophone. Walter Smith III described him as "An incredible saxophonist".
Ant and Alex are joined by internationally renowned jazz pianist Ivo Neame, bassist Ferg Ireland, and drummer Jamie Murray.
In addition to leading his own bands, Ivo Neame has featured in several of European jazz’s most forward-looking groups including Phronesis and the Marius Neset Quintet. He frequently appears at international jazz festivals, collaborating with ensembles like the Frankfurt Radio Big Band, London Sinfonietta and many more.

Ferg Ireland is one of the most versatile and busy bassists in London, known for his work with Soweto Kinch, with the Kansas Smitty's, his trio (feat. Nathaniel Facey), Club Kuru

Jamie is a virtuoso and one of the finest drummers to have emerged in the London scene in recent years. He leads his own group Beat Replacement and has built a strong association with Russian avant-jazz pioneer Zhenya Strigalev co-leading their duo project JZ Replacement. More recently he has begun working with Tim Lefebvre, Donny McCaslin and other big name US artists.
