Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective returns to Leeds with a sequence of music drawing on themes of dreams, hope, and spirituality. Osvaldo Golijov’s klezmer-inspired clarinet quintet, one of the most electrifying works of the twentieth century, is programmed alongside one of Ludwig van Beethoven’s most otherworldly works. Folk traditions from around the world weave through the programme, which includes new arrangements by Kaleidoscope’s founder Tom Poster, who explains: “We explore ways to create a communal listening space surrounding performers and audience, to bring us all closer to both the visceral power and the solace of this music.”
