Lee Patterson: Terrain: for amplified objects and devices
Terrain: for amplified objects and devices makes use of the table as an impromptu stage where Patterson will open up and play the often inaudible sound world emitted by otherwise mute devices and objects.
Terrain may or may not feature the amplification and activation of materials ranging from rock chalk to burning nuts and seeds; old cd players and their motors; effervescent salts to amplified springs and vibrating metal to buzzing ampoules.
By approaching sound recording as a form of ear training and research, Lee Patterson (b.1971) has Collaborated with some of today’s most respected experimental musicians and filmmakers. His works have featured on UK TV, BBC Radios 3, 4 and 6, Resonance FM and other radio stations worldwide.

John Macedo is a sound artist and performer from London. He has incorporated everything from acoustic instruments and environmental sound to analogue and computer synthesis into recorded works, live performances and sound installations.
He has a pluralistic approach which reveals and highlights the hidden potential in all sounds, environments and technologies, often in intimate, immersive and intuitive ways.
Alongside live performance and a variety of collaborative projects, he has had work released by Hideous Replica, Sound Holes, Beartowns Records and a releases small run and object editions on his own label, The Black Plume Editions. He also organises the monthly experimental and improvised music concert series SOLO:DUO:TRIO at the OTO Project Space.
