Elizabeth Jordan (clarinet) Heather Bills (cello) Daniel Gordon (piano)

Johannes Brahms – Trio for clarinet, cello and piano, op 114
Robert Muczynski – Fantasy Trio for clarinet, cello and piano, op 26
Johannes Brahms – Es is ein Ros entsprungen
Nino Rota – Finale from Trio for clarinet, cello and piano

School of Music accompanist Daniel Gordon is joined by clarinettist Elizabeth Jordan and cellist Heather Bills for a concert in memory of Daniel’s father, on the 100th anniversary of his birth. He was a clarinettist, and loved Brahms. The Brahms trio forms the main work, and will complement the Brahms clarinet quintet heard in this series on 3 February. They’ll also play a variety of other short trios, including Muczynski’s colourful neo-classical Fantasy.
