“Beyond the sphere of grief”: English Partsongs and Motets of the Great War

To mark the anniversary of the outbreak of World War I, the Project Choir presents a lunchtime recital of unaccompanied English choral music associated with the period. The programme will include Elgar’s Five Partsongs Opp 71-3, and motets from Parry’s “Songs of Farewell”, as well as pieces by Holst, Howells, Farrar and Wood.
